The largest of all the Hazelwood School District 2012 Bond Issue work, Hazelwood West High School was awarded to Wright Construction in the Fall of 2012. A new front entrance addition, new library, new science classrooms, and administration offices comprised of over 102,000 SF of new construction. Renovations to three levels of existing space, all new entrance approach, parking, and drop off were also included in the work. Major electrical tie-in work at Armstrong Elementary School allowed for both schools to have their life-safety systems upgraded as part of the overall scope of work.

Wright Construction was awarded this project as the second lowest bid, allowing the company to win all three high school additions and renovations, working with three different architectural firms to complete the work simultaneously.
