Wright Construction Services continues to make strong progress on the new Liberty Elementary School for the Waynesville R-VI School District. This 97,000-square-foot, ground-up facility is designed to deliver a safe, collaborative, and future-ready learning environment for Pre-K through 5th grade students.

Current Progress

Construction is advancing steadily across all major areas of the project:

  • Exterior sheathing is nearing completion, with crews preparing to transition into interior framing within the classroom wings
  • Roofing is complete at the gymnasium and actively progressing across the classroom wings
  • Interior MEPFP overhead rough-in is underway, with rooftop unit (RTU) installation scheduled in the coming weeks
  • CMU work in the gym is wrapping up, and masonry crews will immediately begin cast stone and brick veneer installation on the exterior façade
  • Highway T improvements are now complete, marking a key milestone for site access and infrastructure

Project Highlights

Designed by incite Design Studio, LLC, Liberty Elementary School will feature:

  • Enhanced Safety: A precast concrete storm shelter integrated into the building design
  • Student Wellness: Two playgrounds and a full-size gymnasium to support physical activity and development
  • Collaborative Learning: Flexible classroom environments with overhead garage-style doors that open into shared learning spaces

Looking Ahead

With exterior progress nearing a major milestone and interior work ramping up, the project continues to move forward on schedule. Wright Construction is proud to partner with the Waynesville R-VI School District in delivering a modern, student-focused educational facility for the community.
