Site development and preparation; construction of classrooms and administrative areas; installation of secure entry and monitoring systems; development of indoor and outdoor learning environments; MEP systems tailored for child-focused facilities; and ADA-compliant accessibility features throughout the building.
The new REACH & Early Childhood Center Facility encompasses 96,858 square feet and features a variety of shared learning areas and dedicated support spaces designed to facilitate one-on-one student focus. The facility is tailored to provide adaptive education placement and therapy services for K-12 students with special needs.
The Early Childhood Center within the building includes 20 classrooms and will offer additional programming opportunities beyond those currently available through the district. The REACH Center is strategically located on the same campus as North Point Middle School and North Point High School, both of which were also completed by Wright Construction Services, Inc.
Lesson 1 – Technology Is Always Changing: Wright makes sure to understand how technology in an academic setting is changing and how design and construction methods must shift as well to support that new technology.
Lesson 2 – Building Envelope Design: Use materials appropriate for the regional climate when selecting building envelope components and evaluate their compatibility with structural elements such as framing. Durability, energy efficiency and occupant comfort should also be considered when selecting building-envelope materials.
