Wright Construction Services is proud to partner with the Waynesville R-VI School District on the development of the new Liberty Elementary School—an innovative and future-ready learning environment set to serve students from Pre-K through 5th grade.

This 97,000-square-foot, ground-up construction project is taking shape on a 26.2-acre site in Waynesville, Missouri. Designed by incite Design Studio, LLC, Liberty Elementary is being built with sustainability, safety, and student collaboration in mind.

Key Features:

  • Net Zero Energy Design: The school will include a dedicated solar field, positioning it as one of the first Net Zero campuses in the region.
  • Enhanced Safety: A precast concrete storm shelter is incorporated into the design to ensure student and staff safety during severe weather events.
  • Student Wellness and Recreation: Two playgrounds and a gymnasium with a full-size basketball court will support physical education and play.
  • Collaborative Learning Environment: All classrooms feature overhead garage-style doors that open into flexible shared learning spaces—encouraging teamwork, creativity, and cross-class collaboration.

Current Progress

As of December 2025, construction at Liberty Elementary School continues to advance with strong momentum across all areas of the site. The team is wrapping up all footing and foundation work, setting the stage for the next major phases of vertical construction.

Masons are actively building CMU walls in Area A, while Iron Workers have begun swinging steel in the classroom wings—an exciting milestone as the structure takes shape.

Precast panels and double tees are currently in fabrication and on track for an early January installation date. Meanwhile, site work and underground MEP rough-ins continue to progress smoothly.
